Amazon has reached an agreement with the FTC to pay compensation for violating Prime subscription rules. The claims related to non-transparent registration terms, automatic renewal without consent, and a deliberately complex cancellation process. Users with a subscription between June 23, 2019, and June 23, 2025, may be eligible for a refund of up to $51. Payments are due to those who were unintentionally enrolled in the program or were unable to cancel their membership. Compensation claims are accepted until July 27, 2026, via an official form, with some affected individuals already having received automatic payments.
